Common Questions

How is the governing board structured?
3 board members- Pres, VP/Sect and Treasurer. They all 3 are employees of the developer. Management is not on Board but attends the monthly meeting.

What committees contribute to the governing board?
Architectural Review Committe, Neighborhood Rep, Publications, Public Safety, Covenants, Wildlife, Social Events

Does the HOA survey residents to find out about new interests?
Yes. Social Events Committee and WEGOs day trips and travel committee do.

Are all the community activities included in the fees?
Use of the fitness center, pools and recreational facilities are no additional fee. Some special instructor based classes that may carry an extra charge, although we offer many free activites. We also offer some free events, however some events may carry extra ticket fees.

Does the HOA have a reserve fund?
Yes. Reserve funds are maintained for future repair and replacement of assets that the HOA has long-term responsibility for, and are essential to a successful community. Reserves do not fund everyday expenses or more routine needs; the operating fund serves that.

How often are HOA fees increased?
The budget and contracts are reviewed annually. Due to nominal cost of living increases, HOA fees have slightly increased.

Does the HOA maintain all the amenities?

Does the HOA have a community newsletter or intranet site for residents?
Yes, a monthly, full-color, printed newsletter/magazine is available to all residents. There are also e-mails from the Lifestyle Director and an updated community website Visit Del Webb Charleston

Is there a process in place to get a new club chartered?
Yes, Charters are offered to groups of 15 members+. Our community follows a standard Del Webb Charter Club Procedure.

What are the rules for visiting grandchildren?
Grandchildren are limited to 90 days of overnight visits per year. Swimming and other activity rules for Grandchildren are posted.

Are there activities for visiting grandchildren?
Children Swim is 3-5pm daily and we have a children's playground.
